I need my pins like yesterday! Can you help me?
Unfortunately, due to the nature in which pins are created we cannot speed up the process and therefore cannot guarantee a hard deadline. We will, of course, try our very best to help you out, just drop us an email to custom@betterstuffmade.com before ordering and we’ll see what we can do!

My pins arrived and um, there are some flaws!
No worries! We can totally help you out.

Can I just get 50 pins made?
Sure, you can, but it’s totally not worth it! For not much extra you can get 100 pins. The more you order, the cheaper they get.

Can I order less than 50 pins of one design?
Technically, yes you could but we’re not about wasting your money. We’d still have to charge you for 50 units because that is the minimum units our factory will create.

What’s the difference between hard enamel and soft enamel?
Soft and Hard Enamel Pins: What’s the Difference?
When we make pins, we use your artwork to create a die, stamp it into metal to create the recessed design, and then cut out the shape for the base of the pin.
The pin base is plated in gold, silver, gunmetal or black, and then the recesses are filled with colored enamel paint, separated by the tiny raised walls made by the lines you created at the design stage.
When a soft enamel pin is created, one layer of enamel paint is applied to the recessed areas of the pin and once it’s dry, the paint sits lower than the metal walls of the pin, giving a ridged finish.
Soft enamel pins are cheaper to produce than hard enamel pins, so they’re often a budget-friendly option, popular choices for fundraising events and promotional items. They’re hardwearing but less durable than hard enamel pins.
When a hard enamel pin is created, enamel paint is applied in multiple layers to the recessed areas of the pin, until the paint sits level with the raised metal walls and the surface becomes smooth and flat. Then, the paint is set at a high temperature and polished until glossy, for a high quality and hard wearing finish.

I got one batch of pins made and I’m coming back for more – do I get a discount?
Absolutely! The factory already has your mold we will knock the mold fee off your bill.

Will you ship the pins to my door?
Yeah, we can ship your pins to anywhere in the world. Please be aware that some import fees may occur, and we have zero control over these. The fees are your own to pay.

What kind of artwork can I submit?
Colours: CMYK
Files: PSD, AI, PDF, JPEG, TIFF, EPS
Resolution: 300dpi
Design:
Enamel colours need a die line (a tiny, raised metal wall) between them to prevent colour run. The smallest die line thickness should be 0.2mm, and minimum colour area 0.3mm
Using text? Please stick to 5pt or above, and outline the text before you send. Complex fonts might need to be bigger to accommodate the 0.3mm colour area
Indicate the colours of your design using correct colour values. We recommend the Pantone Solid Coating guide
Got any questions? Just ask!

Can I get my logo in the back of my pin?
Yeah! We fully recommend that you have a back stamp to protect yourself and your designs.

Can I use the same back stamp on several designs?
The simple answer is yes if the size works on each design. This also applies to future designs

I’m struggling with my design; can you guys help me out?
Drop us an email with your design and we’ll be happy to take a look, we can only advice on design, but we cannot produce any designs for you.

Will my pins come with backing cards?
No, not unless you purchase them. Your pins will come individually bagged.

What kind of clutch will my pin have?
Our default is black rubber. But if you’d prefer a different option then be sure to let us know

Do you guys offer those locking pin backs?
Yeah, we do!

What payment options do you offer?
You can check out with PayPal, we also accept Credit/Debit Card payments

How complex can my mold be?
The price you pay includes up to 1 cut out (intricate cut) on your design during the molding process. Additional cuts will mean additional prices on the mold fee.

How many designs can I have in a pack?
Each pack includes one design as standard. You cannot have more than one design for each pack of pins; this includes different color variants of the same design.

Can I trust you with my art?
Absolutely! We have over 10 years’ experience in dealing with custom orders, and we’ve had our own IP ripped off in that time… We know how it feels, so you know your art is safe with us.
We’ve not just set this new website up for a giggle, we’re offering something we wish we had when we started out.
